My youngest daughter is going to be 5 years old in September. She has cried every single day of her life. Think about that for a second, every…day…of…her…life. 1785 days of crying so far – and counting. It’s not constant crying, but at least 1 cry every day. Don’t be concerned, she’s almost never hurt or injured at all. The majority of these are the “I’d like to thank the Academy for this award” kind of cries.
Last week she was sick and really not herself. You can tell when she’s really sick because she normally lights up a room when she is in it. She is an amazing source of energy. Last week my wife headed out to her exercise class and I was home with the kids. They played for over an hour together without so much as a cough or a sneeze. No nausea. No crying. No fighting. Nothing. They were having a great time. Then the garage door went up and my wife pulled in to the garage. The youngest one referred to above, came running in to the Family room, jumped on to the Love Seat and covered herself up with a blanket. She looked like she suddenly came down with the flu. All of this right in front of me. I couldn’t believe what I had just witnessed.
We have successfully created a 5 year old Drama Queen.
