The Biggest Loser (in my neighborhood) Contest

We’re just about ready to go. We picked up another entrant tonight and will start the official contest on 1/2 or 1/3. One more week of complete gluttony I guess. I’m really looking forward to it. I think a friendly contest is just what we all needed to get us moving towards better health. I’ll probably bring up a page on the site dedicated to the contest and its progress. I have a feeling that my stats may be the only ones posted, but that’s OK. I will post what foods my life consists of and what kind of exercising is getting done. The contest is going by the percentage loss for each person, so it should be about as fair as we can make it.

My plan is simple – I plan on combining a little bit of everything I have learned over the years about eating right. I’ll post what that means in more detail later, since I’m sure I’ll be going up against people doing Atkins, etc. I think strict Atkins will be tough to beat, because you really do lose a lot of weight if you follow that plan to the letter. I still think I will win this thing though. When challenged, I usually have a lot of willpower, so this is not something I plan on cheating on. Since I am coming up with a plan that I feel is right for me, I am hoping that I will be able to stick with it forever.
