Today President Bush, unable to get his nominee for US Ambassador to the United Nations through regular Senate proceedings, decided to wait until Congress went on recess and appointed him himself.

Maybe this was the only way Bush could get it done without providing the Senate the additional info they asked for on his candidate. I really don’t know. I’m not even sure I care very much anymore. It’s not like I trusted him much before doing this so it comes as no surprise to me that he has done this.

I would say that I trust him even less but that would be technically impossible.
